Daily journal
The journal gives every trading day its own page: the day's numbers and trades on one side, your own words about it underneath. Open Trading → Journal and it opens on today.
It covers real trading only: Live trades from your accounts, including Chartnaut Demo, and trades Imported or Adopted from MetaTrader. Backtest and hindsight trades stay in Trades. A trade belongs to the day it closed, in your own timezone, and the numbers cover all your accounts together.

The left side holds the month.
The calendar marks each day: a ring for a quiet day, a solid dot for a day you traded, a coloured dot for a day with a journal entry. Hover a dot to see the trade count.
Under it, every day of the month is listed newest first, with the first line of your entry, or the number of trades, and the day's P&L.
The arrows beside the month name move a month back or forward. You cannot go past the current month or pick a future day.
Click Journal in the breadcrumb at the top to jump back to today.
Drag the edge of the left side to make it wider or narrower.
Read the day
The Journal tab shows the day at a glance:

Beside the figures is the day's trade list. Click a trade to open it in Trades, filtered to that day.
The Trades tab shows the day in full, under Positions and Orders. Positions has the same grid, P&L path and table views as Trades, and opens in the table.
Write about it
Type in the box under Journal, which starts How did today go?. The entry saves a moment after you stop typing and when you click away. Saving shows while it does.

@to reference something from Chartnaut: a trade, playbook, study, indicator, definition, app or backtest session.Select text for bold, italic, headings, lists, checklists and quotes.
Right-click for Insert, to add a list, checklist, heading, quote or divider.
A day with an entry gets the coloured dot in the calendar, and its first line shows in the list, so a month of entries reads like a table of contents.
Add your own view
Click + View beside the tabs to add a tab to every journal day, such as your P&L by hour or a checklist score. Describe what you want and build it with the agent, or pick one from the community. See Views on journal days.
