Pin validation errors

Put on chart or the pin rewrite failed validation — usually a wrong pin_cell kind/id, dim mismatch, or editing pins before accepting a mockup.

Use the checklist here, then re-run the study and retry the bind.

Common errors

Error / symptom	Fix
`missing_accepted_mockup`	Accept a mockup before `propose_chart_pin_edit`
Wrong result kind	`kind: "popover_layout"` (not `table`)
Wrong result id	Exact id `pin_cell`
Dim mismatch	Every cell includes every `indexedBy` key
No structural coverage	Publish at least one matching cell with `blocks`
Inflated / missing `n`	Truthful `n`; sparse is OK
Study agent wrote pins	Use pin orchestrator instead

Bind feasibility is structural (matching cell + blocks), not “compile every marker”. A sparse cohort with small n can still bind.

Accept a pin mockup if the orchestrator asked for one.
Retry Put on chart from the study run — see Show studies on charts.
If an agent proposed the pin, re-run via the pin orchestrator rather than editing pin DSL by hand.
