Show studies on charts
To see a study's numbers while you trade or replay, attach the study to the chart as a Forward Insight. You do not edit the study code yourself: the wizard updates it and runs it again.
The study has to measure what happens after the event. Forward Insights covers what the script needs. To create one from the API or an AI app instead, you write pin_cell yourself: From the API or an AI app.
Attach a study run
Open the finished run. In the study builder it is the run card. In the Agent, click Open the full report on the Study results card.
Click Attach to chart.
Under What do you care about?, pick the result you want on the chart and click Continue.
Under Break down by, pick the dimensions that should change the reading, or none for one global card.
Click Apply breakdown. Chartnaut updates the study, saves the change, runs it again and builds the chart card. This takes about a minute.
Check the preview under What the trader sees on a matching event.
Type a Pin name and click Save pin.
Applying a breakdown saves a new study version and a new run. The Forward Insight belongs to that run, and the run you started from stays as it was.
Where it shows
A Forward Insight belongs to one definition, one profile of it and the timeframe the study ran on. Open Trading → Charts on that timeframe, add the definition with the same profile, and click one of its marks. It works live and in replay. Forward Insights on the chart explains the popover.
To list, preview or archive them, open the definition from Tools → Definitions and go to its Forward Insights tab.
