Chartnaut in your browser

Chartnaut runs in a web browser at terminal.chartnaut.com, with nothing to install. Open it, sign in, and you have the same Chartnaut as Chartnaut Desktop, with one difference: the browser cannot run Chartnaut's AI on your own Claude or ChatGPT subscription.

What works the same

Everything else. Charts, trading on your accounts, the journal, playbooks, backtest sessions, research and apps are the same app in both places. The agent and the builders' chats work too, and spend AI credits.

What needs Desktop

Running the AI on a subscription you already pay for. Your Claude or ChatGPT sign-in has to stay on your own computer, and a web page cannot reach it. So the browser has no Settings → AI providers in the sidebar, and if you open that page from a link it says Connecting a provider needs the Chartnaut desktop app.

If you pay for Claude or ChatGPT already, install Desktop and connect it there. Use your own AI subscription covers the rest.

When the browser is the right choice

  • You are on a Mac. Chartnaut Desktop for Mac is coming soon; use the browser until it ships.

  • You are on a computer where you cannot install apps.

  • You want a quick look from a computer that is not your own. Sign out when you are done.

Things to know

Your timezone and theme are saved in the browser, not your account. Set them again in another browser or in Desktop.

Chartnaut keeps chart data it has already loaded in the browser's storage, so charts you have opened before load faster next time. Clearing the site's data in your browser removes it, and it downloads again.
