Ways to use Chartnaut
You can use Chartnaut in the desktop app, in a web browser, or from a terminal and your own code. Install Chartnaut Desktop. It is the same Chartnaut you get in a browser, and it is the only way to run the agent on a Claude or ChatGPT subscription you already pay for, instead of buying AI credits.

You sign in with the same account everywhere, and your plan applies to all of them. Charts, the agent and the CLI and API need Starter or above, whichever way you open Chartnaut.
Why Desktop
The agent on your own subscription. Connect Claude Code or Codex and every chat in Chartnaut runs on that subscription, with no credits spent. A browser cannot do this, because your provider sign-in stays on your computer. Use your own AI subscription shows how.
Nothing is missing. Desktop opens the same app as the browser, so charts, trading, the journal and research work exactly as they do there.
A window of its own. It reopens at the size and place you left it, and it keeps itself up to date.

Use the browser on a Mac until Desktop for Mac ships, or on a computer where you cannot install apps. Use the CLI and API when you want your scripts as files in your own editor, or want Claude Code or Codex to build them for you. The CLI works alongside Desktop or the browser; it does not replace them.
