Subscription and billing
Everything about paying for Chartnaut lives on one page: your plan, the next bill, plan changes, cancelling, invoices, and how much of each limit you have used.
Open it from the menu under your name at the bottom of the sidebar: click Subscription. The bar at the top shows your plan and its status, Active, Cancelled or Inactive.
Your plan
Your plan shows the date and amount of your Next Bill, how it renews (Automatic, Billed monthly), and what the plan includes. Beside it, AI credits shows your balance. Credits are bought separately from the plan: see AI credits.
On Free, the card reads $0 and Free forever, and a banner above it lists what upgrading adds. Every limit on every plan is in Plans and limits.
Change plan
Click Upgrade at the top of the Subscription page. It opens the plan list whichever way you are moving.
Pick a plan.
Click the button at the bottom right. It names the change: Upgrade to Pro, Downgrade to Starter.
Check the details and click Confirm upgrade or Schedule downgrade.
On Free, step 3 takes you to checkout instead.
An upgrade starts straight away. You pay the difference for the rest of the billing period today, and the confirm button shows the amount.
A downgrade waits for the end of the billing period, and you keep your current plan until then. There is no credit for the unused part. A Plan change scheduled banner shows the date; click Keep current plan in it to call the change off.
Plans bill monthly. To go back to Free, cancel your paid plan.
Cancel
Click Cancel at the top of the Subscription page.
Under Why are you cancelling?, tick at least one reason and write a line about each (10 characters or more).
Click Cancel subscription.
Your plan keeps working until the end of the period you paid for. A Subscription cancelled banner shows the date access ends. You cannot change plan while a cancellation is pending.
When the period ends, your account runs on Free: no Charts, live accounts, research, AI or API. Nothing is deleted. Your trades, playbooks and chartbooks stay where they were.
Reactivate
Before the end date, click Reactivate at the top of the page or in the banner. Renewal carries on as before.
After the end date, the Subscription page shows the plans again. Pick one and go through checkout.
The help chat can also cancel or reactivate for you. It shows a card to approve first: see Support.
Usage and billing
Below your plan are four tabs.
