Notes and tags

Strong journaling in Chartnaut means every trade you care about carries enough context to review later — a short note, consistent tags, and optional properties.

Notes and tags feed your review, AI search, playbook reports, and Historical Intelligence training. Agents read the same metadata when searching your library.

The habit

After you close a trade (or at end of session):

  1. Open the trade in Research → Trades

  2. Write two or three sentences in Notes — what you saw, what you did, what you’d repeat or skip

  3. Add one or two tags — setup name, mistake, session

  4. Optionally set propertiescustom fields like setup grade or followed plan

Thirty seconds per trade beats a long session note once a week.

Tags

Playbook connection

When a trade belongs to a playbook, tags and notes still live on the trade row. Playbook reports aggregate them — so tag rule-break on every violation and the report surfaces the pattern.
