AI trade search

Describe the trades you want in plain language. Chartnaut’s AI trade search turns that into a filtered result set in your Trades library.

You can run the search yourself. An agent can run the same search on your behalf — same tools, same library.

What you get

A temporary result set — trades that match your question — inside the familiar library grid or table. From there, open details, pin the set, or start a trade study.

  1. Go to Research → Trades

  2. Open AI search (search bar or dedicated entry point in the library)

  3. Type what you want — for example:

  • “ES losses last week where I tagged chase”

  • “Winning trades on NQ with R greater than 2”

  • “All trades from my London playbook in March”

  1. Review the results in the library view

  2. Refine with a follow-up message or manual filters

Keep or discard results

Search results are ephemeral by default. They expire after a period of inactivity so your library does not fill with stale filters.

To keep a set permanently, pin it as a collection.

What good looks like

You ask “show me every trade where I broke my rules this month,” scan the list, open three detail panes, and pin the set as rule-breaks-march for a weekly review.

Tips

  • Name playbooks and tags consistently — the AI reads the same metadata you see in filters

  • Combine AI search with property filters after the first pass

  • Pin collections you will revisit; let ephemeral results fade

Important distinctions

AI trade search = natural language over your journal (executed trades).

Research studies = questions over Definition events (setup occurrences in history). Different data, different tools — see Trade studies vs Studies overview.
