feature
Chart types
Chartnaut supports multiple chart types so you can read price action the way you prefer — standard candles for most work, advanced types when your plan and data allow.
Change the chart type per panel from the chart toolbar.
Standard types
Available on most plans and instruments:
Candles — open, high, low, close bars
Bars — OHLC bars without filled bodies
Line — close line for a clean trend view
Area — filled line for quick context
Start with candles until you have a reason to switch.
Advanced types
Depending on your plan and market data, you may also see:
Footprint — volume at price inside each bar
Volume profile — distribution of volume across the session range
TPO / Market profile — time-at-price view
Heatmap — liquidity and activity visualization
Some advanced types need specific data feeds or plan features. If a type is locked or unavailable, the product shows why.
Change chart type
Open Trading → Terminal
Click the chart type control on the panel you want to change
Pick primary (and secondary overlay if offered)
Wait for data to load — advanced types can take longer on first render
You can use different types on different panels in the same chartbook.
Indicators and chart type
Most indicators work on candle and bar charts. Some advanced chart types hide or limit certain indicators because the rendering model differs.
If an indicator disappears after a type change, switch back to candles or check whether that combo is supported.
Coming soon types
The selector may show types marked as coming soon. Those are not active yet — pick a shipped type for live or Replay trading.
Important distinctions
Chart type is how price is drawn. Timeframe is how much time each bar covers — set separately.
Real-time and Replay both respect your chart type choice per panel.
