Overview
The Terminal is where you chart and trade in Chartnaut — an agent-powered trading environment where humans and agents use the same tools.
Open it from Trading → Terminal. You land on /charts with your chartbook, instruments, and trading controls in one workspace.
Real-time vs Replay
Pick the mode that matches what you're doing:
Real-time — live markets through a connected account (MetaTrader MT4/MT5 or Chartnaut Demo). Prices update from your broker. Orders route to that account.
Replay — practice on a past session. Historical data advances at your pace. Trades stay in your journal but do not hit a live broker.
Switch modes from Trading → Terminal — hover or open the mode menu and choose Real-time or Replay.

Getting started in Real-time
Connect an account under Trading → Accounts (Demo or MetaTrader)
Open Trading → Terminal → Real-time
Pick your account in the top toolbar
Add an instrument and start charting
Charts-only works without an account. You need a connected account to place live orders.
Getting started in Replay
Create or open a session under Trading → Backtest or from a Playbook
Open Trading → Terminal → Replay
Confirm the session card shows your session (not a live account)
Press play and trade on historical data
If you open Replay without a loaded session, Chartnaut sends you to pick a session first.
Important distinctions
Real-time clears any active Replay session. Replay requires a session you created elsewhere.
Demo is live ticks with virtual money — not a Backtest session.
Terminal Replay is a full practice workspace. Position replay (from Research → Trades) reopens one trade's chart context — a different feature.
