Connecting your broker
Connect an account so Chartnaut can show live prices and send trades from Terminal → Real-time.
Today you can use Chartnaut Demo (practice money) or MetaTrader (your real broker). More brokers are coming soon.
Live trading in Chartnaut means: connect → trade in Real-time → review fills in Trades.
Pick a path
Chartnaut Demo — live markets, virtual money, no broker login
MetaTrader — link MT4 or MT5 for live trading
Check Broker capacity — how many live MetaTrader links your plan allows
The live path
Connect — Accounts (Demo or MetaTrader)
Trade — Terminal → Real-time, pick account, execute with plan
Journal — fills land in Trades with notes, tags, and snapshots
Skip straight to Demo if you are not ready for broker credentials.
Where this lives
Connect and manage accounts: Accounts in the sidebar
Trade with the active account: Terminal → Real-time
Demo vs MetaTrader
Demo — live data, virtual money, no capacity cost on standard plans. Learn confirm flow and journaling.
MetaTrader — your broker account, real P&L, Broker capacity reserved while enabled.
Same Terminal UI. Different risk. Tag demo fills if you filter them out of playbook intelligence later.
Important distinctions
Real-time ≠ backtest practice on historical data.
Demo ≠ Backtest — Demo follows the live clock; Backtest replays history.
Connecting MetaTrader does not start a backtest session.
